"Thank Goodness You’re Here" is the kind of quirky experience that grabs you by the funny bone and never lets go. From the moment I stepped into its whimsical world, I knew I was in for something special—something that would make me laugh, scratch my head, and, by the end, possibly reconsider my life choices (in the best way possible). The game leans hard into humour, and whether it’s with a pun, sight gag, or absurd scenario, it keeps you grinning from ear to ear.

As someone who grew up with the Australian TV show Thank God You’re Here, this game hit a nostalgic note I didn’t even know I needed. Much like the show, you're thrust into unpredictable situations without much prep and expected to just roll with it, hoping for the best and bracing for the worst. That same chaotic, improv-style energy is here in full force. It’s charmingly ridiculous, and I am 100% here for it.

One of the most memorable features? Your character can walk around punching people—and yes, it’s as hilariously random as it sounds. You’ll be minding your own business, and next thing you know, WHAM, a fist lands where it probably shouldn’t. And just when you think you’ve got the hang of things, a cutscene will pop up that leaves you exclaiming WHAT at your screen, followed by uncontrollable laughter (or confusion, or both). These moments are where the game really shines, leaning into its absurdity and making sure you’re never quite sure what to expect.

The dialogue is packed with puns that feel tailor-made for pun lovers like myself. Some of them are so clever, that they’re impossible not to appreciate, while others give you that glorious groan that only a dad joke can provide. You know the ones—the kind that make you roll your eyes but secretly smile. It’s the perfect mix of witty and cringe, and you can’t help but love it.

But beyond the jokes, what stands out is the game’s ability to continually surprise you. Whether you're thrown into a weird, offbeat scenario or asked to make bizarre choices that make you question your sanity, there's never a dull moment. The art style is equally charming, with a blend of bright, colourful, and odd designs that perfectly match the game’s overall tone. Everything feels like it’s straight out of a fever dream—an oddly delightful, somewhat unsettling fever dream.

That said, I do have one major complaint: I wanted more! The game wraps up before you’re ready to leave, and it left me wishing for a few more levels, jokes, or strange encounters to stumble through. It’s like being at a party that ends just as you’re getting into the groove—fun, but over too soon.

If you want to see the chaos unfold firsthand, I’ve uploaded my full gameplay video on YouTube, complete with my live reactions and commentary from my Twitch Chat. Trust me, the collective shock and laughter in chat made the experience even better. You don’t want to miss the moments where I question what on earth is happening—because those are frequent and fantastic.

So, should you play Thank Goodness You’re Here? Absolutely. It’s a wonderfully weird ride that’s as hilarious as it is unpredictable. Just be prepared for some moments of "What did I just witness?" and maybe a few jokes that will haunt you in the shower.
